Installation

AgentIdem is distributed on PyPI under the package name agentidem.

Requirements

Use a modern supported Python environment and install AgentIdem into the same environment where your agent code runs.

Install with pip

pip install agentidem

If your project uses a virtual environment, activate it before installing.

Verify the installation

Run:

python -c "import agentidem; print(agentidem.__name__)"

You should see:

agentidem

You can also verify that the CLI is available:

agentidem version

Upgrade

To upgrade an existing installation:

pip install --upgrade agentidem

Virtual environments

Using a virtual environment is recommended so AgentIdem and your project dependencies remain isolated from your system Python installation.

Create a virtual environment:

python -m venv .venv

Activate it on macOS or Linux:

source .venv/bin/activate

Then install AgentIdem:

pip install agentidem
